7 habits of successful young people
Habit 7: Practice and Develop Skills
September 22nd
“To earn more, you must learn more.”— Brian Tracy
This habit helps you to keep yourself sharp
so that you can better respond to things that happen.
That is, it constantly renews
and strengthens the four most important aspects of your life and your body,
mind, heart,
and soul.
September 23rd
“A goal without a plan is only a dream.”— Brian Tracy

write a diary,
have some best friends
September 24th
“An attitude of positive expectation is the mark of the superior personality.” — Brian Tracy
The famous ancient Greek adage:
“Let nothing exceed what is allowed”
reminds us of the importance of keeping balance
and moderation with the four elements of life.
September 25th
“Never complain, never explain.
Resist the temptation to defend yourself or make excuses.”— Brian Tracy
When one of the four elements of life is affected,
the other three will also be affected.
You will become unfriendly (heart)
if you are weak (body).
When you feel refreshed and happy (soul),
you will easily absorb the lesson (mind)
and become likable (heart).
September 26th
“The act of taking the first step is what separates the winners from the losers.” — Brian Tracy
Just as a car needs regular maintenance and oil changes,
you should renew the best things you have in life – yourself.
Relaxing, letting yourself loose,
taking care of your own emotional needs…
is one of the actions to “sharpen” yourself.
September 27th
“Every minute you spend in planning saves 10 minutes in execution;
this gives you a 1,000 percent Return on Energy!” — Brian Tracy
Care Of The Body
Your body is truly a miracle machine
and you can make use of it by taking care of it,
or conversely,
squandering it.
You can control it
or let it control you.
In general, the body is a powerful service tool
if you take care of it sufficiently.
September 28th
“Excellence/Perfection is not a destination;
it is a continuous journey that never ends.” — Brian Tracy
The four basic things to have a healthy body are good sleep habits,
relaxing the body,
eating well and exercising.
September 29th
“It doesn’t matter where you are coming from.
All that matters is where you are going.”— Brian Tracy
Here are ten ways to sharpen your body:
Eat enough
Relax in the bath
Cycling
Weightlifting
Get enough sleep
Yoga
Play sports
Walk
Gymnastics with bare hands
Aerobics exercise
September 30th
“A clear vision, backed by definite plans,
gives you a tremendous feeling of confidence
and personal power.”— Brian Tracy
Nutrition for the body
Rule #1: Listen to your body.
Pay attention to the effects of different foods
and from there determine
what to eat and what not to eat.
Rule #2: Eat in moderation.
On happy occasions,
it’s okay to eat junk food a little more.
But don’t let that happen often.
October 1st
“Look for the good in every person and every situation.
You’ll almost always find it.”— Brian Tracy
Balanced nutrition pyramid for health
1. Rice and other starchy grains
2. Vegetables, tubers and fruits
3. Meat, fish and eggs
4. Milk and yaourt
5. Fat, sugar less
October 2nd
“You cannot control what happens to you,
but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you,
and in that,
you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.”— Brian Tracy
We all have times of disappointment,
falling into a depressed mood.
And maybe that’s the best time to do what Forrest did:
exercise more.
Besides being good for your heart and lungs,
exercise is a great way to reduce stress and clear your mind.
October 3rd
“I’ve found that luck is quite predictable.
If you want more luck,
take more chances,
be more active,
show up more often.”— Brian Tracy
Many of you like to play competitive sports.
Others enjoy running, cycling,
dancing or weightlifting.
Others just walk around the game.
For results, you should exercise every 20 to 30 minutes,
combining subjects and about 3 times a week.
October 4th
“The only real limitation on your abilities is the level of your desires.
If you want it badly enough,
there are no limits on what you can achieve. ”— Brian Tracy
However, do not let the word “suffering” cling
to you every time you hear someone mention the two words “sports”.
It’s best to choose which sport you enjoy playing the most so that it’s easy
to maintain your practice.
What matters is how you feel, not how you look.
October 5th
“All successful people men and women are big dreamers.
They imagine what their future could be,
ideal in every respect,
and then they work every day toward their distant vision,
that goal or purpose.”— Brian Tracy
Before you compare yourself to the models
or the athletes on the cover
and feel dissatisfied with your appearance,
remember that there are thousands of healthy
and happy young people without noses,
ideal body or muscular.
The patterns people set can still change.
October 6th
“Your most valuable asset can be your willingness
to persist longer than anyone else.”— Brian Tracy
Of course, we should work hard to have a beautiful body,
but if we are not alert,
let “beauty” haunt us,
we can have serious disorders
in eating problems such as appetite,
boredom eating or addicted
to bodybuilding enhancement drugs that contain stimulants.
Treating your body like a prisoner of war just
to get someone’s praise is not worth it.
October 7th
“You are where you are
and what you are because of yourself,
nothing else.
Nature is neutral.
Nature doesn’t care.
If you do what other successful people do,
you will enjoy the same results and rewards that they do.
And if you don’t, you won’t.” — Brian Tracy
There are many ways to take care of your body,
and many ways to destroy it.
October 8th
“You become what you think about most of the time.”— Brian Tracy
The use of substances such as alcohol, drugs,
and tobacco is an extremely effective way of self-destruction.
Alcohol, for example,
is often associated with one of the top three causes
of death among young people:
traffic accidents,
suicide and homicide.
Then comes smoking,
which makes your eyes blurry,
skin wrinkled,
teeth yellow,
damages your lungs,
causes fatigue,
and can lead to cancer
(surprisingly so many people still dare to smoke).
October 9th
“Make your life a masterpiece;
imagine no limitations on what you can be,
have or do.”— Brian Tracy
Remember, tobacco companies spend $500,000 every hour
of the day advertising and marketing cigarettes.
Every day buying a pack of cigarettes will cost
you a large amount of money every year.
Just think, with that money,
how many other things can you do!
October 10th
“The more you seek security,
the less of it you have.
But the more you seek opportunity,
the more likely it is that you will achieve the security that you desire.” — Brian Tracy
Of course, no one wants to be addicted.
Becoming an addict is an involuntary downward spiral:
first cigarettes,
then alcohol,
then cocaine,
opium, heroin.
Many people start to try drinking,
smoking to prove their freedom
to eventually realize
that they have lost their freedom because of addiction.
October 11st
“The key to success is for you to make a habit
throughout your life of doing the things you fear.”— Brian Tracy
Perhaps the worst thing about being an addict is:
you lose control of yourself.
Then it is the career
will control you. You become its slave.
And then you have to give up the idea of training
to become an active person.
October 12nd
“Develop an attitude of gratitude,
and give thanks for everything that happens to you,
knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger
and better than your current situation.”— Brian Tracy
We always think that addiction only happens
to other people and we can give it up whenever we want.
Right?
Actually it is very difficult to do that.
For example, only 25% of young smokers successfully quit smoking.
I like Mark Twain’s way of saying that quitting is not easy for him:
“I’ve quit a hundred times!”.
October 13rd
“Your life is a reflection of your thoughts.
If you change your thinking,
you change your life.”— Brian Tracy
Steps to stop addiction exposure in time:
Really think about what you’re about to do
Visualize the true face of the evil you will do
Think about the consequences of your actions
Make a list of places that you will do in your spare time
Don’t be afraid of what others think of you,
get away quickly
October 14th
“Luck is predictable;
the harder you work,
the luckier you get.”— Brian Tracy
Trust me, you’re not missing out on anything
by staying away from those.
You shouldn’t even try.
One minute of fun is not worth the cost of a long time ruined.
If you don’t want to do those things,
what should you try?
And if you’ve gotten caught up in them,
why not seek help and give up on those harmful things altogether?
October 15th
“Never settle for anything less than your best.”— Brian Tracy
Care Of The Mind
In this life, nothing comes easy.
You have to pay for it all!
Everyone has to pay the price. Remember it.
October 16th
“You have within you right now,
everything you need to deal with whatever the world can throw at you.”— Brian Tracy
What a naive guy to think he can get intelligence
for a lifetime without having to do anything.
But we are far more naive
to think that we can get a stable career
and a bright future without having
to go to great lengths to develop a healthy mind.
October 17th
“There is never enough time to do everything,
but there is always enough time to do the most important thing.”— Brian Tracy
In a survey, I asked a group of young people:
“What are you afraid of?”.
I’m surprised that many of you answered
that they are afraid of psychological pressure to study well,
to go to university and find a good job.
One friend asked,
“What can we do to find a job
and live a decent life?”.
Simple answer.
You can try to buy a lottery ticket
with a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of winning,
or you can train to become an educated person,
someone smart through education.
October 18th
“No one lives long enough to learn everything they need
to learn starting from scratch.
To be successful,
we absolutely,
positively have to find people who have already paid the price to learn the things
that we need to learn to achieve our goals.”— Brian Tracy
In comparison,
studying is the best guarantee
to help you find the best opportunities
to get the right career
and have a full and long life.
October 19th
“The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire not things we fear.” — Brian Tracy
An intelligence acquired through education
is like a well-trained ballet dancer.
That ballet dancer had perfect control of his muscles.
Her body can bend, jump,
fold, and be flexible at will.
Likewise, an “educated” person can navigate, analyze,
write, speak, synthesize,
create, explore, imagine, and much more.
However, to do that, the brain needs to be exercised.
October 20th
“Be clear about your goal but be flexible about the process of achieving it.” — Brian Tracy
You should try to study as much as possible.
Anything beyond high school and college,
technical or vocational school will be well worth your time and money.
Think of it as an investment in your future.
October 21st
“If you think it’s too expensive to study, then just be ignorant.”
– Derek Bok, former president of Harvard University
October 22nd
“Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field.”— Brian Tracy
Even if you have to work tirelessly to earn extra money,
it’s still worth doing.
October 23rd
“The value of a relationship is in direct proportion
to the time that you invest in the relationship.”— Brian Tracy
There are many ways to train and cultivate wisdom.
However, the best way may simply be to read a book.
As the old saying goes,
reading is good for your brain
and exercising is for your body.
Reading is the foundation for other methods
and doesn’t cost much compared to other ways (like traveling).
October 24th
“The fastest way to improve your relationships
is to make others feel important in every way possible.” — Brian Tracy
The 21 most popular ways to train and hone your knowledge:
1. Read the newspaper every day
2. Write stories or write poems
3. Sign up for the tour association
4. Play challenging subjects
5. Travel
6. Debate
7. Plant a garden
8. Play a game of chess
9. Observe the wild life
10. Visit the monuments
October 25th
“Most great fortunes are built slowly.
They are based on the principle of compound interest,
what Albert Einstein called,
“The greatest power in the universe.”— Brian Tracy
11. Attend presentations
12. Expressing ideas in class
13. Watch knowledge-enhancing programs on TV
14. Play an instrument
15. Going to the library
16. Social activities
17. Listen to the news on the radio
18. Crossword puzzles
19. Find out your ancestral genealogy
20. Read books online at docsach24.com
instead of playing games or surfing facebook
October 26th
“Every act of self-discipline increases your confidence,
trust,
and belief in yourself and your abilities.”— Brian Tracy
While you have to study subjects you don’t like,
why not develop your abilities in subjects
that interest you by taking extra courses,
reading more books and finding materials on that subject.
Don’t think school is the only place you can learn,
see the whole world as your school.
October 27th
“Act as if you were already the person you want most to be.”— Brian Tracy
Maybe you did poorly in some subjects.
Even if you are Einstein,
all subjects will not be easy for you.
Indeed, Albert Einstein was very bad at math
and was considered a weak student for many years.
October 28th
“Sometimes we need to let go of things in our lives to make room for better things.
Stress less and live more.
Don’t waste your energy,
when you have the choice to be happy.”— Brian Tracy
If you’re frustrated with your studies,
don’t give up (you’ll regret it if you do).
Be persistent.
Then you will discover a subject that you really enjoy.
October 29th
“Everything that you do
or say that raises the self-esteem of another raises yours as well.”— Brian Tracy
Do not forget that the purpose of learning is
to acquire knowledge.
October 30th
“The solution to the problems of marriage and parenting is simple.
Spend more time with the people you care about the most.”— Brian Tracy
Although grades are important,
knowledge is even more important.
Always remember what your reason for going to school is!
October 31st
“Fear and self-doubt have always been the greatest enemies of human potential.”— Brian Tracy
I’ve seen a lot of people drop out of school
for really silly reasons,
such as the glory of fame.
Senator Bill Bradley, a former player of the famous NBA team once said:
“A young man gambling with his future with a professional contract
is like a worker buying a lottery ticket,
and resigned
because I was sure I would win.”
November 1st
“Welcome the challenges.
Look for the opportunities in every situation to learn and grow in wisdom.” — Brian Tracy
Surveys show:
Only about 1 in 100 high school athletes compete in college sports,
while the chance for a high school player
to become a pro is 1 in 10,000.
November 2nd
“Follow up and follow through until the task is completed, the prize won.” — Brian Tracy
You say you don’t like going to school.
But my friend, how does success come easily?
Do you like to work tirelessly every day?
Is there a medical student who likes to study for seven years?
Sometimes you need to discipline yourself
to do things you don’t like for the sake of what you hope to achieve.
November 3rd
“Good habits are hard to develop but easy to live with;
bad habits are easy to develop but hard to live with.
The habits you have
and the habits that have you will determine almost everything
you achieve or fail to achieve.”— Brian Tracy
You say you try to study but you can’t
because your mind wanders here and there.
I say that if you don’t learn to control your mind,
you won’t be able to do anything.
The discipline of the mind is a much higher form than the discipline of the body.
Training your body for peak performance is one thing,
controlling and concentrating your thoughts,
analyzing,
synthesizing,
and thinking creatively is quite another.
November 4th
“You are not what you think you are,
but what you THINK, you ARE.”— Brian Tracy
You will reap exactly what you sow.
Can a farmer forget to plant seeds in the spring,
roam all summer,
and then work hard in the fall to harvest the crop?
You can’t, buddy.
Don’t expect one day you will wake up with a magic wand
in hand to make yourself a great brain.
November 5th
“Entrepreneurial leadership requires the ability
to move quickly when opportunity presents itself.”— Brian Tracy
Imagine there are four pairs of hands:
The hands of a pianist who can captivate the audience
with melodious or majestic symphonies.
The hands of a doctor who can bring light
to a person with a microscope surgery.
The hands of a blind man
who can read tiny braille with unbelievable speed.
And the hands of a sculptor
who can carve beautiful statues inspire the soul.
On the surface,
those hands may be different,
but behind them are many years of sacrifice,
self-discipline and perseverance.
November 6th
“If you’re unhappy,
what is it in your life that you’re not facing?”— Brian Tracy
Without effort,
you can earn a degree,
but you cannot have real knowledge.
Between those two there is a great difference.
November 7th
“Take a deep breath,
relax and imagine yourself exactly as you wish to be.”— Brian Tracy
Many of our great thinkers
and inventors were uneducated,
self-learners.
How do they achieve that?
They read.
It’s the simplest
but most beneficial habit you can adopt for a lifetime.
November 8th
“Your choice of people to associate with,
both personally and business-wise,
is one of the most important choices you make.
If you associate with turkeys,
you will never fly with the eagles.”— Brian Tracy
But there are some people
who do not practice this work on a regular basis.
Others stop reading as soon as they leave school.
That makes their brains atrophy.
Learning should be a lifelong endeavor.
November 9th
“Every positive change in your life begins with a clear,
unequivocaldecision that you are going
to either do something or stop doing something.”— Brian Tracy
Those who do not read are not much better than the illiterate!
November 10th
“Develop an ‘attitude of gratitude.’
Say thank you to everyone you meet for everything they do for you.”— Brian Tracy
You say you live for today and don’t think about the future.
I say the main difference
between you and your dog is that you can think about tomorrow and he can’t.
November 11st
“Activity equals results.
If you want to increase your success,
increase your activity.”— Brian Tracy
Don’t make long-term career decisions
based on fleeting emotions like a student choosing his major
based on the shortest application form line.
Let’s build an orientation for the future;
make the best and wisest decisions.
November 12nd
“A goal that is not in writing is like cigarette smoke:
It drifts away and disappears.
It is vague and insubstantial.
It has no force, effect,
or power.
But a written goal becomes something that you can see,
touch,
read,
and modify if necessary.”— Brian Tracy
Be quick to hold onto knowledge;
don’t let it leave you;
because it is your life.
November 13rd
“Your ability to get along well with others will determine your happiness
and success as much as any other factor.”— Brian Tracy
Don’t worry too much about which major to choose.
As long as you have a good way of thinking,
you will have countless options.
Job placement agencies
and companies that are recruiting personnel do not pay much attention
to your field of study.
They want to find proof that you have an active mind.
November 14th
“What would you dare to dream if you knew you wouldn’t fail?”— Brian Tracy
Employment agencies and companies
that are recruiting personnel will be interested in:
Ambition:
How much do you care about this job?
Extracurricular activities:
What other activities
(sports, clubs, social work…)
did you participate in?
Academic Scores:
How are your grades in school?
Communication skills:
What is your ability to communicate in writing
(shown in job applications)
and oral (shown in interviews)?
November 15th
“The biggest mistake you could ever make is to think you work for anyone but yourself.”— Brian Tracy
Also, don’t worry about the rumors that getting into college is hard.
It’s actually not as difficult as you think if you really put in the effort.
November 16th
“It is not what you say or hope or wish
or intend but only what you do that counts.
Your choices tell you unerringly who you really are.”— Brian Tracy
If you want to exercise your brain,
there are some obstacles that you have to overcome.
Sometimes watching TV,
playing games,
watching movies
good deeds,
but too often it will dull your mind.
November 17th
“At least eighty percent of millionaires are self-made.
That is, they started with nothing but ambition and energy,
the same way most of us start.”— Brian Tracy
There are some young people who do not want
to excel in their studies
because they are afraid that people will think they are bookworms.
If your intelligence scares someone,
perhaps this says something about their lack of neurons.
I know a lot of healthy
and successful people who were once considered bookworms.
November 18th
“Be prepared to ride the cycles and trends of life;
success is never permanent,
and failure is never final.”— Brian Tracy
Sometimes we are afraid to study well
because then the expectations of our loved ones will also increase.
But remember:
the psychological pressure of success is more bearable
than the regret of not trying your best.
November 19th
“In the sales profession,
the real work begins after the sale is made.”— Brian Tracy
The secret to sharpening the mind is the desire to learn.
To really change your life through education,
you have to accept the price.
November 20th
“Be selective about your external influences.
Your multi-dimensional brain is influenced by everything you see,
hear, read, smell, touch, feel or say.”— Brian Tracy
If so far you have not taken the effort
to find your own education,
don’t worry,
it’s not too late to start now.
If you learn to think well,
the future will open the door for you to good opportunities.
November 21st
“Develop the winning edge;
small differences in your performance can lead to large differences in your results.”— Brian Tracy
Care Of Your Heart
The best way to take care of your heart’s feelings is
to focus on building relationships,
or in other words, make regular deposits
into your relationship and personal accounts.
November 22nd
“Dress for success.
Image is very important.
People judge you by the way you look on the outside.”— Brian Tracy
Relationship accounts and personal accounts have many similarities.
That’s because the funds you deposit
into someone else’s account often end up coming back
and becoming your own.
November 23rd
“Define your goals in terms of the activities necessary to achieve them,
and concentrate on those activities.”— Brian Tracy
Deposits in relational accounts:
Keep promise
There are kind gestures
Loyal
Listenable
Know how to say sorry
November 24th
“Learn something new.
Try something different.
Convince yourself that you have no limits.”— Brian Tracy
Deposits to personal accounts:
Keep your promise to yourself
There are kind gestures
Self-respect
Honest
Relax yourself
Developing talent
November 25th
“Become the kind of leader that people would follow voluntarily;
even if you had no title or position.”— Brian Tracy
Remember that the difficulties you are facing
from time to time can be a source of strength for you.
As psychologist Kahlil Gibran writes:
“The wells of joy in your heart often overflow with laughter and tears.
The deeper the hole dug by sorrow in our hearts,
the more joy it can hold.”
November 26th
“All improvement in your life begins with an improvement in your mental pictures.”— Brian Tracy
After all that has been said and done,
there is one last way to keep your heart fresh and healthy.
That is to laugh.
Don’t worry at all and live happily!
Sometimes life is just full of troubles
and there’s nothing you can do to change it,
so it’s better to just laugh it off.
November 27th
“You can NEVER rise higher than your expectations of yourself.
Expect the BEST!”— Brian Tracy
Too bad that at our age,
we often forget what made childhood so magical.
One survey said that before going to kindergarten,
you laughed about 300 times a day.
In contrast, the average adult only smiles about 17 times a day.
So it’s no wonder that children live much happier lives than adults.
November 28th
“There is an interesting point about the price of success:
It must always be paid in full-and in advance.
Everyone wants to be successful.
Everyone wants to be healthy,
happy,
thin,
and rich.
But most people are not willing to pay the price.”— Brian Tracy
Smile, or you will cry.
November 29th
“You will regret many things in life
but you will never regret being too kind or too fair.”— Brian Tracy
I read a very interesting article by Peter Doskoch about the power of joy.
According to him,
smiling has the following effects:
Relieve stress and make thinking more creative.
Help us bravely face the difficulties of life.
Massages the heart and lowers blood pressure.
Connecting human emotions
and removing feelings of depression.
Releases natural pain relievers in the brain.
November 30th
“Peak performance begins with your taking complete responsibility
for your life and everything that happens to you.”— Brian Tracy
Laughter also improves health and speeds healing.
I have heard many people report that they healed themselves
of serious illnesses with laughter therapy.
December 1st
“Worry is negative goal setting.”— Brian Tracy
Laughter can also heal a damaged relationship.
As artist Victor Borge says,
“Smile is the shortest distance between two people.”
December 2nd
“Aspire greatly; anything less than a commitment
to excellence becomes an acceptance of mediocrity.”— Brian Tracy
Collect your own books, comics, movies, ideas,
or whatever is funny to you.
Then any time you feel frustrated
or anxious use this collection,
they will help you get over your sadness in a more gentle way.
December 3rd
“Avoid negative people at all costs.
They are the greatest destroyers of self-confidence and self-esteem.”— Brian Tracy
Care Of The Soul Of Women
What can affect your soul?
A good film?
A touching story?
Has a romantic movie ever made you cry?
How does that make you feel?
December 4th
“You begin to fly when you let go of self-limiting beliefs
and allow your mind
and aspirations to rise to greater heights.”— Brian Tracy
Your soul is the center of who you are,
the place where your deepest beliefs and values reside.
The soul is the source of joy,
meaning and serenity.
December 5th
“My self is a place where I live with myself
and where I renew the fountain that never dries up.”
– Writer Pearl S. Buck
December 6th
“Top people have very clear goals.
They know who they are and they know what they want.
They write it down
and they make plans for its accomplishment.”— Brian Tracy
As a child, I found strength in journaling,
listening to music,
and sitting on top of a mountain by myself enjoying the view.
That’s how I renew my soul,
even though I didn’t think it was the way
to nourish my soul at the time.
December 7th
“If you can dream it, you can do it.
Your limits are all within yourself.”— Brian Tracy
Please share with me the ways to nourish the soul:
Reflections
Helping others
Write diary
Take a walk
Painting
Pray
December 8th
“Always choose the future over the past.
What do we do now?”— Brian Tracy
You can refer to a few other ways to nourish the soul:
Listen to upbeat music
Play music
Talk to close friends
Find a way to achieve your goals
December 9th
“The key of success is for you to set one big,
challenging goal and then to pay any price,
overcome any obstacle
and persist through any difficulty until you finally achieve it.”— Brian Tracy
Return with nature
There are incomparable mysteries
when it comes to returning to nature.
Even if you live in a town far from the river or the beach,
you can still go to the nearby parks to find serenity.
December 10th
“Your attitude is an expression of your values,
beliefs and expectations.”— Brian Tracy
Write diary can do a lot of miracles for you.
It becomes the place to keep your secrets,
it is your best friend,
the only place where you can confess
when you feel sad,
happy,
angry,
hate,
sulky,
disappointed.
You can open up to your diary
and it will listen to you.
December 11st
“Any great achievement is preceded by many difficulties and many lessons;
great achievements are not possible without them.”— Brian Tracy
When it comes to journaling,
you don’t have to follow any rules.
You can add souvenirs,
tickets,
love letters,
or anything worth remembering.
My old diaries were full of funny pictures,
toad poems,
and strange flowers.
December 12nd
“Your life only gets better when you get better,
and you can improve yourself without limit.
Learn something new every day.”— Brian Tracy
Journaling also strengthens your self-awareness tool.
It’s a joy and a relief to re-read
what I’ve written to realize how mature I am,
how silly and immature I am sometimes
when I look back on my feelings for someone before.
December 13rd
“Move fast.
A sense of urgency is the one thing you can develop that will separate you from everyone else.
When you get a good idea, do it now.”— Brian Tracy
In fact, diary is just a generic name for a place to store your thoughts.
In addition to diaries,
there are other names and forms.
My friend Allison wrote:
I write down my thoughts on little sticky notes
and keep them in a box she calls the “sacred box”.
Kaire, on the other hand, finds joy
and solace through a “gratitude notebook”.

“Your ability to discipline yourself to set clear goals,
and then to work toward them every day,
will do more to guarantee your success than any other single factor.”— Brian Tracy
Spiritual meals not only the food,
but also what you hear,
read,
and see affects your soul as well as who you are.
What goes into your soul is far more important than what goes into your body.

“Action without planning is the cause of all failure.
Action with planning is the cause of all success.”— Brian Tracy
So what is your spiritual meal?
Are you nurturing your soul or squandering it and destroying it?
What types of media do you usually follow?
Have you actually thought about this?

“When you start doing what you love to do,
you will never work another day in your life.”— Brian Tracy
Listen to your own perception

“When you absolutely believe in yourself
and your ability to succeed,
nothing will stop you.”— Brian Tracy
All addictions,
whether gossip,
shopping,
gluttony or gambling,
drugs have some common characteristics.
That is:
Create momentary joy
Become the first and only concern of life
Can relieve pain temporarily
Give an illusion of self-worth,
strength,
bravery
But in the end it all makes the problem
and the feelings you want to avoid getting worse.

“Never assume you understand.
Ask the questions.”— Brian Tracy
Addictions remind me of a story
I once heard about frogs.
If you put a frog in hot water,
it will immediately jump out.
But if you put it in warm water
and slowly raise the temperature,
the frog will be boiled
before it has the feeling to jump out.
What you do now can affect you a year from now.
But because the danger level increases slowly,
you don’t see that your perception has been “boiled”.

“Move out of your comfort zone.
You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward
and uncomfortable when you try something new.”— Brian Tracy
You’ve probably done a lot of work
to renew yourself without even realizing it.
If you study hard in school,
you are sharpening your mind.
If you play sports or exercise,
you are taking care of your body.
If you seek to develop friendships,
you are cultivating the heart.
You can always refresh yourself in many areas at the same time.

“There are no limits on what you can achieve with your life,
except the limits you accept in your mind.”— Brian Tracy
The best thing you can do is spend a little time each day
sharpening the saw blade,
even just 15-20 minutes will do.
Some of you set aside an appropriate hour of the day,
early morning,
afternoon,
or night to be alone,
thinking,
or exercising.
Some people like to do it on weekends.
There is no better way than the other,
so find the way that works best for you.

When US President Abraham Lincoln was asked,
“What would you do if you had 8 hours
to cut down a big tree?”,
And he replied like this:
“I will spend the first 4 hours sharpening the saw”.

with the idea of helping him or her solve a problem or achieve a goal,
not of selling a product or service.”— Brian Tracy

If you don’t have one yet,
make one today.

what happened during the day
and keep doing what brings you peace of mind.

If there’s a habit
or idea you really enjoy,
like Positive Reaction
or Relationship Accounts,
the best way to pick up on it is to talk to someone
while it’s still available and fresh in your head.
Describe it in your own words and examples.
Who knows, you’ll spark interest in them,
and they’ll join you.
