10 Laws of Life
Rule 9: Continuously living Beautiful Life Purpose
In today’s society,
many people start their careers
with the main goal of making money.
Indeed, in a way,
money is the clearest measure of success and advancement,
and it is a resource that we can use to rise to greater possibilities.
But if you have money
without a positive life purpose,
it will be a barrier to your struggle to rise.
Positive purpose creates meaning in life
and helps us direct
and focus our talents and efforts further.
At the same time,
it also draws energy
from other people whose purpose matches your purpose.
See money as a tool to achieve a great purpose in life.
With this perspective,
you will attract all the resources
and rewards to create a life rich,
rich and meaningful life.
Some people think the above idea is quite good,
but does it seem ideal?
The answer is no.
Even in a business environment,
it is possible to successfully grow
by increasing the purpose of the business
– not the money it makes
– it is possible.
Life is serve. It is your purpose
When Dan Sullivan and Babs Smith first met,
they began to realize the paths they both had in common.
Both Dan and Babs are conducting spiritual training courses
for everyone from businessmen,
politicians to ordinary people
The purpose of both is to help others overcome the difficulties
that are standing in the way of their progress,
happiness and success.
Since then,
the two quickly became friends,
supporting each other in terms of ideas,
and at the same time,
cherished developing their service business.
With quite acumen business knowledge,
Babs saw the potential of this field of activity.
She began to outline the first directions for the formation
of a community health care organization.
It wasn’t just maintained by her and Dan;
Babs hopes the organization will receive help
and support from many others.
Their long-term and biggest goal is to help
as many people as possible.
This was the main direction Babs
and Dan wanted to take
when they founded the Strategic Training Organization in 1989.
When they first started,
they also set out their initial goal of making enough money
to pay business taxes,
pay employees,
and ensure the survival of the organization.
Although that goal is driven by the need for money,
they are determined to use it to maintain
and expand the long-term purpose.
They decided to organize larger-scale seminars
so that many customers can meet each other
instead of meeting individually as before.
Therefore, they have attracted a significant number of customers,
and the revenue has also increased accordingly.
Money is an important part of reaching your goal.
It supports the stronger development,
helping us continue to pursue more complete orientations.
But money was never the main goal for Dan and Babs.
They have learned this to be able to stand firm,
lead and run the business further and further.
Protecting the Core The above orientation became very clear
to Dan and Babs through the challenges
and opportunities in the growth
of the Strategic Coaching Organization.
For them,
the strength of personal connection is the most important factor
in achieving higher goals.
To make sure the organization stays on track,
they establish three “fundamental directives”
that guide people in growing the business:
1. Must show team spirit and affection for all customers.
2. Always maintain control of promising new resources
during the organization’s ascent.
3. Willing to cooperate with like-minded people.
In fact, these are personal values that every member
of the organization needs to grasp,
not the rules or orders of a company.
It acts as a guideline for all activities of the organization,
helping them to seize every opportunity
and ensure that they do not get caught in the trap of money
Rule 9: Never stop cultivating life purpose 101 silver
– temptation coaxing can destroy the big goal later on.
Dan and Babs’ Strategic Coaching organization really creates a friendly,
close-knit working environment with a high spirit of solidarity.
And they constantly protect
and preserve the core values
that make up the collective strength
that cannot be separated.
Contradiction between materialism
and purpose in life Bryson MacDonal is a retired social worker.
In the past,
when he first started working,
he earned a good salary as a “labor consultant”
for a car manufacturer.
His day job is very special,
it is finding ways to refuse
to hire minority workers or women
who want to work at the company.
After that, he got married and had a full life,
with nothing to worry about,
but he began to feel nauseous with the work he was doing.
It completely went against his wishes and principles of life.
Soon after, he resigned.
Later, Bryson worked in an organization that supported
and helped newly released prisoners find work in chain factories.
“You can’t steal an unassembled car,”
he joked with the workers.
“My income has decreased quite a bit,
Bryson confided,
“but I feel more comfortable life.”
This decision opened a new signal
for his own future career.
Some old prisoners still remember
and often refer to “Mr. Mac” as a benefactor
to help them change their lives.
Bryson’s story shows that purpose doesn’t have
to be grand or grand;
it can be as little as a commitment to being a good person
and is determined by one’s own standards.
When we have to choose between money
and purpose in life,
if we choose money and give up on our purpose,
it often leads us to fall into the trap of hindering growth.
True growth is personal growth,
not material growth.
When we live without purpose
and without dedication,
money also becomes meaningless.
Less income is just a very small price you pay for the rewards later,
when you choose the right path.
Courage to refuse
However, what would you do if,
with just a little compromise,
you’ve already collected some of your dream money?
Will you receive this luck first,
and then return to the purpose
you have pursued for so long?
This is a personal choice
and it may depend on the circumstances
as well as the importance of the goal you are aiming for.
The problem with materialism is
that it can lead you to a slippery slope that is hard to stop.
Once you compromise,
your own values will be devalued,
and it seems,
this compromise is easy to become a habit.
Another thing is,
when we see it as a small compromise,
compared to the big money up front,
it is likely to be a bigger sacrifice later.
We may have to live with all the consequences of our decisions.
Giving up short-term gain
in order to maintain your values
and sense of purpose will propel you forward.
It gives you the opportunity to strengthen your commitment
and unleash your creativity and talent on the path
to finding the right direction,
capable of solving both financial problems
as well as life purpose.
Fidel Reijerse is an environmental consultant.
The purpose that brought him to his profession is the desire
to help organizations that protect the environment
as well as human health in the fields of labor
while ensuring work efficiency.
Construction works,
skyscrapers,
energy problems,
industrial waste as well as domestic waste… all greatly
and directly affect the living environment of people.
Like many others in the industry,
Fidel is aware that there are products
and solutions that can mitigate these negative effects,
but are difficult to mass-use
because of their high cost.
Meanwhile,
investors,
construction owners,
manufacturers… no one wants to spend too much money
to invest in this.
Fidel realized that,
if manufacturing investors are willing
to make full use of their raw materials,
it will all benefit,
the business as well as the environment.
However, he also found that few people are interested in this,
maybe they just do it half-heartedly,
and sometimes even raise the price of their products on the grounds
that their products meet environmental safety standards.
In the end,
he decided to leave his business
and delve into new applications.
Seven years later,
Fidel has acquired a tremendous amount of experience.
At this point,
the old apps have become obsolete.
The technology he has been pursuing
for a long time has met the opportunity to develop.
Now, Fidel sells his invention
and makes an easy profit.
However, he and his colleagues always check the application
and direct this technology to a positive purpose
– protecting the environment,
avoiding it being abused on other misleading criteria.
Actively looking for purpose
What if each of us does not know what our life purpose is?
Not everyone has a purpose as clear
and inspiring as Dan, Babs, and Fidel.
Sometimes, purpose becomes clearer
when it is put in difficult circumstances,
as was the case with Bryson.
A complete and clear definition of purpose is difficult.
But here’s the key:
even the act of finding purpose leads to growth.
It keeps you constantly looking for answers
– in places you never paid attention to
and things you didn’t pay attention to before.
Even if you don’t know what your purpose is,
you can focus on finding it purposefully.
This search is a goal in itself,
until it is replaced by your real purpose.
Finding a purpose in life will help you grow,
not bury your head in making money.
Practice
Listen to the heart
Use your heart rather than your mind to define your goals.
We may have frequent thoughts,
struggles or doubts about choosing your purpose,
but beware of the invisible traps that stand in the way.
Let your feelings guide you to the right goals,
and then, use your thoughts to find a way to actualize them.
Write down your life purpose
Write yourself a maxim or a catchphrase to cheer yourself up.
Choose the right words that clearly explain your purpose,
because it’s so important.
Not only will it keep you on the right track,
but it will also allow others to understand and follow you.
From there, they can help you achieve your goals.
Once your purpose is clear,
you will make smart choices to behave in each particular situation.
Temptation is always the one to go first,
do you have the courage to wait until the opportunity appears.
