Brian Tracy! Goal!
Chapter 5: Set up your goals
Identify what you really want.
It will help you not to fall into vague goals,
but only focus on the real goal. – William Moulton Marsden
In goal setting as well as in success,
I like to use the phrase “clarity”.
We need to know that there is a direct relationship
between clarity now and future achievement.
Successful people often invest a lot of time in shaping their values
and what they really want,
just like designing a detailed drawing for a building before starting construction.
Henry David Thoreau once said,
“Are you going to build a castle in the air? Very good.
That’s where you should build it.
For now, focus on building the foundation for it first.”
In this chapter, I will help you define your vision
and realize your worth as you define specific goals
and objectives for you to work towards each day.

BUILD PERSONAL GOALS
Your only limit is your mind. ― Aysa Angel
As I said, a strong and burning desire is the essential factor
that helps you overcome all obstacles and reach great goals in life.
In order for your desire to be strong enough,
your goals must have a distinct personality.
That means that the goal must be chosen by you,
not someone else choosing for you
or you do it just to meet someone else’s wishes.
For goal setting to be truly effective,
you must be fully focused on what you really want.
This does not mean that you do not participate in other people’s work.
It just means that while setting goals for your life,
you should start with yourself as the foundation to look to the future.

WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE?
The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine. — Mike Murdock
This is one of the most important questions
when setting goals because you can’t hit a target you can’t see yourself.
Once you’ve identified your true goals,
you must know how to make the most of your values,
vision,
and ideals.
In the process,
you may sometimes feel that
your goals are far-fetched,
unrealistic.
However, your job now is to make them come true,
like drawing the dream house in your head on paper.

FIND WHAT YOU REALLY WANT
That is where the power is.
Storms make trees take deeper roots. — Dolly Parton
Start with general goals and then move on to more specific goals
by answering the following questions:
1. What are the three most important goals in your work right now?
Motivate my husband understand business,
sale and investment knowledge from reading books, discuss daily.
2. What are your three most important financial goals right now?
3. What are the three most important goals for your family
and relationships right now?
Good child, sweet wife and wonderful mom
4. What are your three most important health
and fitness goals right now?
Pink skin, black hair and white teeth

RECOGNIZE YOUR ANNOUNCEMENT
You have power over your mind – not outside events.
Realize this, and you will find strength. — Marcus Aurelius
The next problem is that you try to answer questions related to the opposite:
What are the three biggest worries in your life?
What worries, worries or concerns you in your daily life?
Think positive
What makes you angry, irritable?
Misunderstand
What is taking away your happiness, more than anything else?
Smile and silent
Where is your pain?
Heart and head
Once you have identified your biggest problems,
worries or concerns, proceed with the following:
1. What are the ideal solutions to each problem?
Read books, silent and smile
2. How can I get rid of these problems or concerns right away?
Think positive
3. What is the fastest and most direct way to solve each problem?
Answer why this happen?

OCKHAM KNIFE
You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it. — Margaret Thatcher
William of Ockham, an English philosopher,
proposed a method of problem solving
that would later come to be known as the “Ockham’s Blade”.
This method of thinking has become famous
and popular through the ages.
Ockham argues, “The simplest solution”
and the most direct, requiring the least number of steps,
is usually the right solution to any problem.”
Many people make the mistake of complicating goals and problems.
But the more complex the solution,
the less likely they are to implement
and the longer it takes to achieve any results.
Therefore, we should simplify solutions
and get directly to the goal as quickly as possible.

DOUBLE INCOME
A problem is a chance for you to do your best. — Duke Ellington
Many people tell me they want to double their income.
Maybe you have the same desire.
If you work in business, I want to ask this:
“What is the fastest and most direct way to double your income?”.
Sure, you’ll come up with some solutions,
but in my opinion the best answer in this case is:
“Double the amount of time you spend face-to-face with prospects.“
If you can’t increase your skills or change anything about
what you’re doing,
the most direct and best way to increase sales is to spend more time
with real potential customers.
According to one survey,
a salesperson spends an average of 90 minutes a day meeting
with their customers face-to-face.
Among them, the employees who are paid
Top managers often spend two or three times
that amount of time communicating with customers.
They organize their workday very efficiently
so that they can spend more time with both existing
and potential customers who have or will use their services.

DOUBLE PRODUCT
Focus on the solution, not on the problem. ― Jim Rohn
If you look closely at your work,
you may find that 20% of what
you do determines 80% of what you get.
In the Advanced Coaching Programs,
I’ve advised my students to
identify those 20% of the top value-contributing activities
and then double them.
Instead of encouraging them to try to get more done,
I recommend that they do less,
but focus on things of higher value.
And in fact, some practitioners have doubled their productivity
and income in just 30 days using this method,
something they never thought they would achieve
by doing the same job in the same position.
Always look for the simplest
and most direct ways to get what you want.
And most importantly, take action.
Stay active.
Always work, You have to practice flexibility, agility,
and form yourself an urgent working style.
Think about it,
even the great ideas in the world will be worth nothing
if they are not implemented.
As the poet John Greenleaf Whittier once said: “In human language,
the most boring phrase in both spoken and written is: I should have…”.

MAGIC STICK
Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. ― Gary Vaynerchuk
Imagine that you are given a magic wand that every time you swing it,
all your wishes come true!
When determining your true goal, use this “magic stick”.
If you had 3 wishes for your job, what would it be?
If you had 3 wishes for your financial situation, what would it be?
If you had 3 wishes in your family life and relationships,
what would it be?
And when your life is ideal, how do you wish it would turn out?
Good child, sweet wife and wonderful mom
If you had 3 wishes related to your fitness and health,
what would it be? In what way will it be perfect?
Healthy, young, and happy
If you had any 3 skills or abilities that were highly developed,
which 3 would you choose? In what area do you want to excel?
1st:Communication
2nd: Business
3rd: Finance and investment
When you start thinking about such wishes,
it will help you clear things up.
You can also share this treasure with others,
when they do not know what they should do
and where they will go in life ahead.

LAST SIX MONTHS OF LIFE
Where focus goes, energy flows. ― Tony Robbins
What would you think if your doctor told you the good news
and the bad news at the same time:
The good news is that for the next 6 months,
you will live a healthy and energetic life.
The bad news is that in 180 days,
you will die of an incurable disease?
If you knew today that you only have 6 months to live in this world,
how would you use this time?
Who will you spend time with?
Where will you go?
What will you strive to accomplish?
Finance freedom
What would you do more or less?
Read more books, think more about future
When you answer these questions,
you will understand your true values and at the same time
It also helps you realize who are the most important people in your life.

SOME GOAL-SETTING QUESTIONS
All personal breakthroughs begin with a change in beliefs. — Tony Robbins
If you had 1 million dollars, what would you do?
How would you change your life if you were given the freedom to choose?
What will you join or withdraw from?
What will you do more or less of?
What will you do first?
Once you visualize the necessary
and sufficient conditions for doing all of this,
your true goals will also emerge.
What do you want to accomplish but don’t dare to take the risk?
What are the things you would love to do
as well as the people you admire so much?
Do you want to open your own company?
Yes
Do you want to run for a position?
Yes
Do you want to try with a new field?
What are the things you’ve always wanted to do
but didn’t dare to try for fear of failure?
****************
DO WHAT YOU LIKE
What separates the winners from the losers is how a person reacts
to each new twist of fate. ― Donald Trump
When setting goals for your life, both short and long term,
you should find out what are the things that you enjoy doing the most.
For example,
what kind of work do you want to do when you go to work at a company?
You will choose
What social activities to join?
What kind of work can bring you the highest enjoyment
and satisfaction in life?
Psychologist Abraham Maslow has called the moments
when people feel the happiest,
most excited those are the “peak experiences”.
One of the most important goals in life is
to enjoy as many “peak experiences” as possible.
You can do this by thinking about such moments in the past,
and then finding ways to present them in the present
as well as in the future.
****************
MAKING THE DIFFERENCE
Be brave enough to live the life of your dreams
according to your vision and purpose
instead of the expectations and opinions of others. ― Roy T. Bennett
You should also set goals in activities
and contributions to society and the community.
How can you make a difference and change in your world?
Which organizations do you want to work for,
or are interested in this social issue?
What changes would you like to see when you join?
Which audience do you want to help?
Above all, what can you do today to start making a difference in your world?
Start setting action goals to improve the world around you,
don’t wait for a future date that you think is appropriate or ideal.

SETTING SMALL FINANCIAL GOALS
It is your decisions,
and not your conditions,
that determine your destiny. — Tony Robbins
One of the most important aspects of goal setting is your personal financial aspect.
If you can make money and accumulate the necessary amount,
then you will probably achieve most of your non-financial goals faster and easier.
Identify some issues related to the financial sector, such as:
How much do you want your monthly and annual income to be?
During those times,
how much would you like to save and invest?
When you retire,
what assets do you want to have and when do you want it to happen?
Most of us feel vague about our financial goals,
but when we are clear about them,
our chances of achieving them increase dramatically.
***************
CLARITY
It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. ― E.E. Cummings
When you know what you want,
then you will always think about your goals in every situation.
The more you think about them,
the quicker you will realize those goals.
When you ask yourself questions related to your goals in life,
you will have the opportunity to think their own unique ideas;
You also know how to focus more
and more clearly define your direction.
According to Zig Ziglar, that’s when:
“You transform from a general,
aimlessly wandering entity into a concrete object with purpose and meaning.”
In addition, the most important thing is
that you have to define specific big goals in life.
This is the stepping stone to help you towards great achievements
and resounding successes.
