Chapter 2: Play the game of money to win
Before you can become a millionaire,

When participating in the “money game”,
the poor tend to defend rather than attack.
I ask you: if you go to a sports match or any game
where you are only focused on defense,
what are your chances of winning?
Everyone agrees that there is almost no chance.
But that’s how most people play the money game.
Their primary concern is survival and safety
instead of creating prosperity and affluence.
When you’re having money problems,
the first thing to do is quit spending on all things
that don’t produce money. ― Grant Cardone
So what is your purpose?
What is your audience?
What is your real intention?
The aim of the rich is to really accumulate a great wealth,
to be truly affluent.
Not just a little bit of money,
but a lot of money.
And what is the great purpose of the poor?
Is “having enough money to pay the bills,
and if it’s on time, even better!”.
Here again I want to remind you of the power of purpose.
When your goal is to have enough money to pay your bills,
you will earn exactly that,
just enough to pay the bills and no more than a dime.
Middle-class people are at least one step further,
but sadly, it’s only a small step.
Their great purpose in life coincidentally coincides with a word
that is loved all over the world at large.
That is, they just want to live a “comfortable” life.
In fact, there is a huge difference
between living comfortably and living richly.

I must confess that I did not always know that.
But one of the reasons I believe I can say so with certainty is that
I have had many experiences on all three sides of the invisible barrier
between comfort
and riches and poverty that no one can afford to know that too.
I used to be so poor that I had to borrow a dollar for gas.
But let me explain a little more.
First, it’s not my car.
Second, that one dollar is four 25 cents combined.
Can you imagine how confused an adult
who has to pay for gas with four 25 cents would be?
That little guy who worked at the gas station looked at me like
I was a vending machine thief,
then just shook his head and laughed.
I don’t know if you can feel it,
but it was one of the worst times of my life
and unfortunately it was just one of those times.

After mastering my mind and unifying my actions,
I also reached the standard of living comfortable.
The comfort is really nice.
At least you can go to a decent restaurant for a change of atmosphere.
But when it comes to luxury,
I only dare to order chicken.
Chicken dish is normal if that’s what I really want.
But usually that’s not the case.
Keep away from those
who try to belittle your ambitions.
Small people always do that,

In fact, people with a comfortable enough income often only decide
what they will eat after looking at the right-hand column of the menu,
on the price side.
“What would you like to order tonight?”
“Maybe I’ll eat this $7.95 dish.
Try to see what it is. Oh, surprise, it’s chicken.”
And this is the ninth time that week!
When your wallet is in moderation,
you won’t dare look to the bottom of the menu,
because if you do,
you’ll be violating the most taboo word in the middle-class dictionary:
price!
And if you’re curious,
you won’t ask how much the items actually cost.
First, because you know you can’t pay.
Second, you’ll be confused
because the waiter won’t believe you
when he tells you that dish costs $49 and you reply,
“You know, for some reason,
I’m really hungry for food. Chicken tonight!”
I have to say that for me personally,
one of the best things about being rich is not having to look at the price column
while looking at the menu to choose from.
I eat exactly what I want to eat, no matter the price.
I can assure you that I couldn’t have done it
when I was broke or barely able to afford it.

The bottom line is this: If your goal is to live comfortably,
chances are you’ll never get rich.
But if your goal is to be rich,
chances are you’ll have a very comfortable life.
If you don’t design your own life plan,
chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan.

You will get what you really want.
If you want to be rich, your goal must be wealth.
Not just enough money to pay the bills,
and not just enough money to be comfortable.
To be rich means to be truly affluent.
